New Year, New Initiatives

By World Forgotten Children Foundation on Jan 13, 2022

As we close out 2021 and start a new year, it is hard not to contemplate where we are in our lives; reflecting on what we have accomplished thus far and intend to do in the year ahead. Looking back at our own personal struggles and the challenges we all have endured worldwide while COVID-19 continues to run rampant, there has been a greater appreciation ignited for things we once took for granted.

New year’s resolutions are at the forefront of most people’s minds, and for us helping those in need tops the list of priorities. At World Forgotten Children Foundation (WFCF) we remain committed to serving and take great pride in all of the good work we have done over the last several years (view past projects) and look forward to 2022 with renewed energy and a continued dedication to our mission of helping children with disabilities and supporting developing communities worldwide. As we move into this new year we are pleased to share with you our 2022 plans.

A New Website

Our Advisory Board has been hard at work to bring you a new and improved WFCF website. The new site will go live before the end of January. Many changes and improvements have been implemented to make your user experience better. This includes easier navigation, news updates, and an easier, faster, and even more secure donation experience.

Now Accepting Project Proposals

Also on our enhanced website, visitors will find that we have updated our guidelines for project proposals. Now present are clear and concise directions as to who we fund, what types of projects we fund, and how your organization can apply for funding. If you are connected to an organization that is searching for funding for a project that promotes health and wellness for children with disabilities and/or community development and growth in economically disadvantaged countries, please be sure to check the website for more information. You can also stay in touch with us through social media and our newsletter.

Join Our Mission Ambassador Program

We will be introducing our volunteer Mission Ambassador Program in early 2022. This program is designed to engage with those individuals who have a deep belief and commitment to our mission and want to be able to spread the awareness and good work of WFCF. Our Mission Ambassadors will utilize their personal resources in conjunction with WFCF resources to identify possible funding opportunities, engage new supporters, and represent WFCF in their community. More information about the Mission Ambassador program will be forthcoming on our new website but if this sounds interesting to you, please email our Development Coordinator, Erin Whitsel at ewhitsel@world-forgotten-children.org.

WFCF is positioned for an energizing and successful 2022. We encourage you to follow us on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn and if you haven’t already, please sign up for our newsletter.

We cannot wait to share this journey with you!
